Protecting your privacy is important to us here at Guam Time Group (GuamTime). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Guam Time Group (“GuamTime,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses and safeguards the personal information you provide on Guam Time Group’s website, www.guamtime.net, and through or in connection with our social medias or other software- and Internet-enabled programs and services sponsored by Guam Time Group, as well as information collected when you otherwise communicate or interact with us.

We collect information from you on the Website, and we are responsible for protecting your information.

2. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

 

2.1 Information you provide us directly

We ask for certain information such as your username, first and last name, phone number and email address when you register for a Guam Time Group account, or if you correspond with us. We may also retain any messages you send through the Service, and may collect information you provide in User Content you post to the Service. We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service.

 

2.2 Information we may receive from third parties

We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, if you access our websites or Service through a third-party connection or log-in, for example, through Facebook Connect, by “following,” “liking,” adding the Guam Time Group applications, linking your account to the Guam Time Group’s Service, etc., that third party may pass certain information about your use of its service to Guam Time Group. This information could include, but is not limited to, the user ID associated with your account (for example, your Facebook UID), an access token necessary to access that service, any information that you have permitted the third party to share with us, and any information you have made public in connection with that service. If you allow us access to your friends list, your friends’ user IDs, and your connection to those friends, these may be used and stored to make your experience more social, and to allow you to invite your friends to use our Service as well as provide you with updates if and when your friends join Guam Time Group. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to the Guam TIme Group. You may also unlink your third party account from the Service by adjusting your settings on the third party service. If you unlink your third party account, we will remove the information collected about you in connection with that service.

 

2.3 Financial and transactional information

During your transactions, we obtain information such as bank or credit card information, details about payments to and from you and details of products and Services you have purchased or otherwise obtained from us.

 

2.4 Marketing 

Marketing and Communications Data including your email address, your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences. 

 

We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain Personal Data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising. We will obtain your consent with regard to sending you marketing and advertising materials per GDPR requirements.  In general, we will provide a button, checkbox or other means where you affirmatively opt-in to receive marketing emails or other communications from us.  You can change your preferences or ask us to stop sending you marketing messages and/or remove your email from our mailing lists by contacting us at info@guamtime.net or by following the instructions within the marketing messages that you have received.

 

2.5 Analytics

We may directly collect analytics data, or use third-party analytics tools, to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Service. These tools collect information sent by your browser or mobile device, including the pages you visit and other information that assists us in improving the Service. We collect and use this analytics information in aggregate form such that it cannot reasonably be manipulated to identify any particular individual user.

 

2.6 Information Technology

When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, we may access, collect, monitor and/or remotely store “location data,” which may include GPS coordinates (e.g. latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device. Location data may convey to us information about how you browse and use the Service. Some features of the Service, particularly location-based services, may not function properly if use or availability of location data is impaired or disabled.

 

3. SHARING OF YOUR INFORMATION

We will not rent or sell your information into third parties outside Guam Time Group and its group companies (including any parent, subsidiaries and affiliates) without your consent, except as noted below:

 

3.1 Third Party Partners

We may share your information with third-party business partners for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Those business partners will be given limited access to your information as is reasonably necessary to deliver the Service, and we will require that such third parties comply with this Privacy Policy. We may share your contact information and transaction data with co-brand partners, such as teams and event promoters. Information shared with a co-brand partner is subject to their privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.

 

3.2 Law Requirements

We may share your information as required by law, for example with our professional advisors, lawyers, insurers, regulators and other authorities, or as we think necessary to protect our organization or others from injury (e.g., in response to a court order or subpoena, in response to a law enforcement agency request, or when we believe that someone is causing, or is about to cause, injury to or interference with the rights or property of another);

 

3.3 Ticket Sales

If you obtain event tickets through our Services you will generally do so where we operate as an “event host” for the organization from whom you purchased the ticket, such as an entertainment organization, sports organization or venue. If you wish to purchase tickets to an event and also remain anonymous, you must purchase your tickets in person, directly through the Event Host’s box office or other process the Event Host may make available. Event Hosts are not subject to the provisions of this Privacy Policy and will have their own privacy policy to describe how they handle your Personal Data. When you purchase tickets to an event, you should read and become familiar with the privacy policies of the Event Host. We have no control over the use of your Personal Data by any Event Host, and you agree that we are not liable for any use of your Personal Data by an Event Host. If you have special preferences concerning use of your Personal Data by an Event Host, you must communicate those preferences directly to that Event Host.

 

3.4 Transfer of Ownership

We may buy or sell/divest/transfer the Guam Time Group (including any shares in Guam Time Group), or any combination of its products, services, assets and/or businesses. Your information such as customer names and email addresses, User Content and other user information related to the Service may be among the items sold or otherwise transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell, assign or otherwise transfer such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, dissolutions, reorganizations, liquidations, similar transactions or proceedings involving all or a portion of Guam Time Group.

 

4. Storing and Protecting Your Information

4.1 After receiving your Personal Data, we will store it on our Website systems for future use.  We have physical, electronic, and managerial procedures in place to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and reasonably use the information we collect.  Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or data storage solution can ever be completely secure. As a result, although we take industry-standard steps to protect your information (e.g., strong encryption), we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or receive from us or that we store on our or our service providers’ systems.

 

4.2 Visiting Guam Time Group outside of the United States (USA)

If you are visiting the Website from outside of the USA, you understand that your connection will be through and to servers located in the USA, and the information you provide will be transferred outside your local location (e.g., the EEA/UK), and will be securely stored in our web servers and internal systems located within the USA.

 

5. Children and Young People’s Information

5.1 We do not knowingly collect any information from any minors, and we comply with all applicable privacy laws including the GDPR, CCPA, USA Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and associated Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) rules for collecting Personal Data from minors. Please see the FTC’s website (www.ftc.gov) for more information.  If you have concerns about this Website or its Services, wish to find out if your child has accessed our Services, or wish to remove your child’s Personal Data from our servers, please contact us at info@guamtime.net  Our Website will not knowingly accept Personal Data from anyone under 13 years old without consent of a parent or guardian.  In the event that we discover that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to us, we will make efforts to delete the child’s information in accordance with the COPPA.  If you believe that your child under 13 has gained access to our Website without your permission, please contact us at info@guamtime.net.

 

6. Your Rights of Shared Information

6.1 Who you may choose to share your User Content with 

Any information or content that you voluntarily disclose for posting to the Service, such as User Content, becomes available to the public, as controlled by any applicable privacy settings. To change your privacy settings on the Service, please change your profile settings. Subject to your profile and privacy settings, any User Content that you make public is searchable by other Users. If you remove information that you posted to the Service, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages of the Service, or if other Users have copied or saved that information.

 

6.2 How Can You Access and Control Your Information

Once you register for an account on the Website, you may log-in to the account and edit your Personal Data in your profile.  For instructions on how you can further access your Personal Data that we have collected, or how to correct errors or inaccuracies in such information, please send an email to info@guamtime.net.  We will also promptly stop using your Personal Data and remove it from our servers and database at any time upon your email request.  To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to help verify your identity before granting access, making corrections or removing your information.

7.1 Because our business needs may change over time, we reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy.  If at any time in the future we plan to use your Personal Data in a way that differs from this Privacy Policy, we will revise this Privacy Policy as appropriate.  In the event of a change to our Privacy Policy, we will email the updated policy to the email address that you provided to us.  Your continued use of the Website following our notice of changes to this Privacy Policy means you accept such changes.
